Privacy Policy
What personal data FreshBet collects, the legal basis, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights UK data protection law gives you.
Personal data and money sit close together on a casino platform, which is why this page sets out what happens behind the scenes. At FreshBet, anyone who registers, deposits or contacts support leaves some information along the way. Here is what that data is, why it is collected and how long it stays.
The data controller is the company operating FreshBet under Curaçao Gaming Control Board certificate OGL/2024/1800/1049. For the handling of personal data we apply the standards of UK data protection law and the GDPR. That framework sets what may and may not be done.
What data we collect
The information we gather falls into clearly separated groups:
- Registration data: name, date of birth, address, email and phone number
- Payment data: method used, amounts, date and status of transactions
- Verification documents: identity and proof of address, required by the certificate
- Technical data: IP address, device, browser and pages visited
- Gameplay history: sessions, stakes, bonuses activated and outcomes
None of these categories is collected without a reason tied to the account or a legal duty. We do not ask for information we have no use for. The list above covers virtually everything that passes through our systems.
On what legal basis
Data protection law allows no processing without a legal basis, and each processing activity has one. Performance of the contract covers account management, deposits, withdrawals and the service in general. Without that data the platform simply could not function.
Legal obligations cover identity verification, the age check and the anti money laundering requirements the certificate imposes. Legitimate interest covers system security and fraud prevention. Marketing messages, finally, rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else sees this data
Payment data necessarily passes through the providers that process transactions. Without that step no transaction could be completed. Those parties handle the information under their own rules and obligations.
Technical suppliers, verification systems and anti-fraud tools may access limited portions of the data to do their job. Each is contractually bound to the same protection standards we apply. No data is sold or handed to marketing companies.
How long we keep it
Data stays in our systems while the account is active and for the period afterwards that legal obligations require. Transaction records and verification documents carry longer terms, often of several years. That is not a discretionary choice but a requirement flowing from anti money laundering rules.
Once those terms expire, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Anonymised data can no longer be traced back to you and falls outside data protection law. Before that point, though, we cannot erase what we are obliged to keep.
Security
Information travels encrypted and sits on servers protected by firewalls and access controls. Only staff who genuinely need to can view a piece of data, and each access is logged. That keeps any access traceable, internal ones included.
Periodic checks measure how the system holds up and identify the points that need reinforcing. Absolute security does not exist, and anyone who promises it is not telling the truth. What we can do is reduce the risk with concrete measures and update them over time.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy in a readable format. You can have incorrect information corrected, request deletion within the limits of legal obligations, or object to certain processing. You also have the right to data portability to another provider.
A request starts with a message to support through the contact page and receives an answer within one month. Exercising these rights is free and has no effect on the account. If you believe the processing does not follow the rules, you can also turn to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and measurement
The site uses a small number of cookies, technical, preference and statistical. The non-essential ones stay off until you accept them through the consent banner. Declining them does not stop you using the account.
Analytics tools work on aggregate numbers rather than individuals. They show which pages are used and which need reworking. None of that data is used to profile you for commercial ends.
Contact for privacy matters
Questions about this policy or your data reach a dedicated point through the contact page. Privacy requests are handled as a priority and answered within the statutory period. Anyone wishing to reach a data protection contact can ask through the same channel.
